How do you describe an artist, as an artist?

Let’s start with my name PONLO. I bought my first dog in the military and named her ponyo. Ponyo is an anime about a little magical fish that falls in love with a little boy named Sosuke. It was my favorite movie to watch as a child with my siblings. When I got my dog I knew that name fit her perfectly. Ponyo is everything to me, she has helped me emotionally and physically while I went through tough mental health challenges. Now because I didn’t want a sued I knew I had to change it in some way. Ponyo loves to be next to me when I’m creating petting her makes the process easier!!! (My real inspiration) I landed on PONLO because if you say it a certain way it still sounds like Ponyo. My logo is a drawing of a picture of Ponyo. I owe my grind for art, to Ponyo and I’m so grateful to stay dedicated to becoming better.

I’ve always loved art but I never took it seriously until 2020, yes during COVID. I start with w Circuit Machine making T-shirts for BLM. Then I got really into designing the shirts, so I focused on graphic design. I was really into my makeup artistry as well. I started to realize that there is no limit to the creative mind, I could create as I please and learn new skills in the process. I purchased my IPad in 2021 and got into digital drawing and 3D modeling. I’m still trying to understand 3D modeling, it’s the hardest thing to learn to me because of the programs. (Blender/Adobe) In 2024, is when my REAL art journey starts.
